Lubricate the rocker shafts, bushings, rollers, thrust surfaces, pads, and valve stems with assembly lubricant; apply red threadlocker only to the coarse rocker-stud threads.

Apply clean oil to the head-bolt internal threads and underside of each bolt head, and to the rocker-stud nut threads and flanges, exactly as instructed.

Remove the rocker arms' rust-preventive oil with a lint-free cloth and lacquer thinner without immersing the parts in a solvent tank.
