AVT DS18 Inventory — Privacy Policy
This policy describes how American V Twin's internal AVT DS18 Inventory tool handles Google account data. It applies to this connector, separately from the online store's customer privacy policy.
Information accessed and purpose
With the operator's consent, the tool receives read-only Gmail access and verifies the connected mailbox address. Google's permission covers email messages and settings across that mailbox. The tool searches for recent DS18 sign-in emails addressed to the expected dealer account and reads matching message headers and contents to validate and retrieve a login code. It uses the code only to renew AVT's DS18 dealer login for inventory checks.
Storage and security
Google authorization credentials are retained while the connection is enabled so the tool can operate without repeated manual sign-in. Production credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager with access restricted to the collector. Dealer session state is encrypted. Matching email contents and login codes are processed in memory and are not saved to the inventory snapshot or application logs. Inventory snapshots contain supplier product availability, not email contents.
Sharing and limited use
The login code and dealer account identifier are submitted to DS18's sign-in service for their intended authentication purpose. Google Cloud processes the connection on AVT's behalf. AVT does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, train AI models with it, or disclose it for unrelated purposes. Human access to message contents is limited to specific user-authorized troubleshooting or circumstances permitted by Google's User Data Policy.
AVT DS18 Inventory's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Control, retention, and deletion
The operator can revoke the app's access through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further mailbox access. Contact AVT to disconnect the collector and delete its stored authorization credentials and dealer session. Credentials are retained only while needed for the enabled connection and are removed when the connection is decommissioned. The tool does not send, modify, or delete messages in the mailbox.
